The one of my recent sound contributions for the Slovenia based label Pharmafabrik Recordings ' label sampler titled "Fabriksampler V4" was arrived yesterday! The album is 2xCD edition separated in noisy side and ambient side.
It has really dense and rich content in wide variety of electronic music that is not only abstract and experimental avant sounds but consists of more musical elements. I feel awesome electronic noise to experimental electronica like composition from the disc 1. Disc 2 has more calm and sensitive ambient or drone tracks. Both discs are really really high quality. So, I highly recommend many people to buy and listen to the album! Also when you will get the album, you can see the very very well-designed inner sleeve!

The UK based net label Electronic Musik run by Ian Simpson aka Noise Research has just released NEW compilation. I participated in this release. I provide 1 static electronics sound that were titled "Type1". It's re-titled by me after I sent the track to the label. The title is "Past Age Healing Hair Saloon". I like this crazy title. So let's call it "PAHHS"! You can hear the tracks of the compilation and download on below link for FREE!!! There are very exclusive tracks by establish artists!!!!

If you interested, I have another version of the track. I made the another track by pure accident. One software couldn't read the 1st "Type1 aka PAHHS" normally and sounded harsh. It's pure glitch. I really like the harsh version. You can hear it on my SoundCloud. I attach it below. It's titled "Underwear Passion". My track names are almost just jokes. hahahaha.... It's really really difficult to find the consistencies between sound and language. umm.... Just enjoy! But I must continue to think about it....

Many things happened in this recent months....

Oops! I had neglected to post something here for 4-5 months... But I have a lot of news but I didn't post here... In the interval, many things happened.

You know we Japanese met the big earthquake and the tsunami disaster on March 11 and big aftershock on April 7.
My hometown in Miyagi's coastal areas were annihilated by the tsunami. My living town was the same. There is almost nothing in near the beach area where we used to go and play when we were young. There were many houses and a park and a ground.

In the immediate aftermath of the main shock, we had lost all public supplies - power, water, and gas. We spent with battery-powered radio and candles for 5 days. Power was restored earlier but the water and gas restored much later. In the first the 5 days, we had no ways to know about the disaster in detail except for radio news and thin news paper(but the paper were supplied everyday! miracle!).
After the those 3 supplies were restored, I still couldn't access internet till March 25.
When I could use internet, I knew that a lot of my great friends had worried me.
The one of my best friend Bryan Lewis Saunders was really glad to hear my safe. And after that, he told me his friend Mannequin Hollowcaust's interesting project "No-Fi" recording. The project is no electricities sound making project with only battery-powered stuffs. Then I contacted with him and talked and heard about the project's concept. I think that's very interesting and has worse to try. I decided to participate in it. I made 1 simple harsh noise piece by using only 1 radio and 1 handy recorder. Its title is "No MC and No DJ". I am satisfied at the result with consideration to make use of my own this time difficulty.
It will be released as "No-Fi Survivalist vol.3" compilation by his own label.

And I made some tracks for other releases from the end of last month to early this month.
The 1st is for collaborated 7" release plan with Anla Courtis (ex.REYNOLS). I made 2x6 min. tracks to use his materials he sent me last year. It will be released on some label soon.

Also I had some releases in early this year. I provided my track "Diabolic Figured" to the German based net label suRRism-Phonoethics' 100th release anniversary compilation "Peak the Source". You can download it on here: suRRism-Phonoethics "Peak the Source"
Also I collaborated with the suRRism owner Jaan Patterson on International Audio Art Project (IEAAP) vol.9. The track title is "Tilt". You can download IEAAP vol.9 here: IEAAP vol.9

Besides, I had collaboration with Bryan Lewis Saunders on IEAAP vol.5. It's titled "Bingo and Uno".
By the way, his upcoming Sleep Works "Stream of Unconscious" volumes cassette tape release are stunning! 24 great artists worked with his poetic (amazing!) sleep talking. I made 5 tracks for No.9 "White Surrealist Nihilismus". Also check out the project!

Finished solo exhibition in my hometown

In the last month, 1st to 28th November, my exhibition was held at small book store + cafe BOOOK which is in the department of technology of Tohoku University in Sendai/Miyagi, Japan. That city Sendai is maybe the biggest city in Tohoku area in Japan, but there is almost no cultural things, only 1 small but good record shop Store 15NOV exists...
The exhibition have been held as series under the name "PARASITE ART PROJECT". The director Akiyama (he is great designer even though I hate almost designers in Japan haha. He loves experimental music! ) directs the works of the artists to be parasitic in the store, but other artists could not do that. But I succeeded to do that. My 100 collage works succeeded to parasitized 9 book shelfs.
The title of my exhibition was "replacement and unreadability" as volume 5 of the series.

I chose 100 collages from about 150 sheets of works. They are the rest of entire 244 works I made last year. I amazed at about 100 sheets had sold so far! In Hong Kong? In Taiwan??

The exhibition was actualized by his offer through the record shop owner Aoyama (He is also artist who works with Otomo Yoshihide to make stunning installation to use large amount of old record players)'s introduction. Aoyama introduced me to Akiyama. That's the honor to me.
I chose 100 sheets by using random numbers outputted by my easy computer programming. And I decided the replacement order to use another programming with variable probability. After that I exhibited them on the shelfs. They might had been nocuous for the store. But we were satisfied about the result! Thank you Akiyama-san and Aoyama-san. Also thanks Ichikawa-kun and Kato-kun for helping to exhibit.
The 2 scores of that are above as samples.

INTERNATIONAL EMAIL AUDIO ART PROJECT

I participated in a worldwide project has motif from past Mail Art Movement. It's called "INTERNATIONAL EMAIL AUDIO ART PROJECT".
There are 3 volumes so far involved with many artists with a strict format which is one-minute miniature audio work in mp3 (44.1 kHz, 320 kbps) attached to an email. And also now in process to issue volume 4. Each volumes consist of 60 artists. I am a participant of volume 3. The sounds (plus images sometimes) are available for free online!

I am 43rd contributer of the volume 3. My track title is "A Crying Bug". It's simple glitchy electronics with effected percussion I played. Listen my miniature and hope you like it! In the same volume, there are the tracks of Filthy Turd and Bryan Lewis Saunders who are my label mate on FRAGMENT FACTORY in Germany. So that's really exciting for me. Especially to work with Bryan is pleasure. He is one of greatest artist in the world I think. Actually he told me the existence of this project.
Besides, I worked with him for upcoming his release plan as volumes of cassettes by himself. That's amazing plan, he is working with many artists with his voice recordings! I made 4 tracks that has total 35 minutes for his "Stream of Unconscious" voice recordings. That's special experience because I could make wide variety of sounds. The tracks will come out as a split cassette tape with someone (whoever will be chosen for it, it is likely to become wonderful.)

Yoshihiro Kikuchi utilizes electronic cut ups and processed percussion, alarms and samples - the beauty of this work is that the micro cut up electronics works wonderfully well with this medium, the sounds appear out of the tape like fragments of broken glass, again working within and with the constraints of the medium, without recourse to Tolkienography a work which resembles analytic cubism, yet to encompass the readymade reality of the synthetic. disturbed TAIPEI

I heard the news about my fucking trash. About less than 15 pieces of my paper trash were bought by the Taiwanese biggest art collector and director of a biggest art fair in Taipei at one of art fairs called "YOUNG ART TAIPEI". My paper trash disturbed the people at there again. I don't know who the collector and director are. But people of there were shocked at the accident the person(s) bought only my fucking trash at the art fair.. That sounds crazy and there is evil in good I like. However, I don't have any realized feelings because I am still broke.... Buy the more expensive works as pictured above!!!
BTW, my solo debut cassette C40 from German young but high quality label FRAGMENT will be released soon 24th May 2010!!!

Do you think I was failed to monetize on this blog to use AdSense system? HELL YEAH!!! I was failed it deadly. In the result, I am absolute hardcore broke!!!! But I will not stop buying CDs, records, and cassettes, I am an addict of music!!!! I will have a many sound releases in several formats in this year, and participate to some art fair, so also I will not stop making both sounds and visual works.
This is one of my trashes! Come on the feedback of past GAGOSIAN accident in Hong Kong!!!

Broke's monetize test

I am in a process to monetize this blog to add ads on here. This is just a test, but I want money because I have been broke for a long time!! haha...
My works are still not bought enough, why? The end of last February, I participated to the art fair in Hong Kong. At there, super famous worldclass gallery GAGOSIAN gallery's guy bought about 20 pieces of my cheaper work. Then people at there ware amazed at the Gagosian staff bought my works! Also everybody ware shocked at the news, because my works he bought ware paper trash superficially!!! It was really good news for me, but after the art fair finished I have never heard any feedbacks of it WHY? WHY!!!!!!!?????

My past release "Drumming Echo Music" made by Seido Toshiyuki who is from 1st generation Japanese noise scene is still available at germany experimental music label/shop Tochnit Aleph!! The CD, I participated as a drummer, and I played improvised drumming and recorded and deformed by Seido. Other Seido's works are also available on same web store of Tochnit Aleph. Please check them, they are really interesting stuffs filled with radical but sensitive experimentalism of between electronics and acoustic instruments!

And my book published from AISHO MIURA ARTS that is the gallery I belong to in Tokyo is also available on the gallery's web.
The book title is "ROMAN COLLAGE". Contents are about one of my solo exhibition in summer 2009. The solo exhibition was started at a most small space in the gallery, the space is THRONE ROOM. After that I made about 250 works and held installation with old toilet bowl filled with m & m's chocolate in a basic exhibition space... That's really funny exhibition. We ate the m & m's chocolates with alcohols almost everyday!!
